The Recovery Process
Many people believe that working with one of the large service providers offers a more rapid recovery if there is an unforeseen need to change aircraft or crew. That is not necessarily the case. Due to the increased demand in business aviation, many of those large operators are purchasing additional lift in the charter market to fulfill current or recovery flights. Although an operator may have another aircraft available in a location you are departing from, the chances of an immediate recovery are very slim since they may have another flight or limited crew members. Instead, your flight recovery is slotted into an existing list of other travel being sourced for that day. The PJC sources recovery aircraft in the same market and through the same way. However, your flight is likely our only of the day because of how we focus our business and resources to only a select group of clients. While we do our best to ensure the cost mirrors what was booked, we will make sure to offer any available solutions that provide the least amount of disturbance to your trip. Recovering an aircraft with a sick crew member or a flat tire is never what we want to have happen. When a situation arises, you can rest assured that we have to knowledge, partnerships and focus to find a back-up solution as well as any service provider, large or small. We focus on being proactive with how we book, how we communicate and the level of service that takes place when things go right or unexpected changes occur.
