The Stress Points of Demand

Published March 19th, 2022 by Thepjcadmin

The National Business Aviation Association reported the global flight activity was up 40% year-over-year for February. Although 2021 was still working against the COVID deficit, the rebound produced far more demand than compared to the annual trends in the years past. Meanwhile, manufacturers such as Gulfstream are still recovering from slowing production schedules in 2021, even compared to 2020. At a rate of 71 aircraft delivered in 2021 for Gulfstream, the percentage in hours demanded continues to exceed the current capacities.

The good news is that the industry as a whole is becoming more resilient by supporting this major influx of business aviation travel as a whole. With the transition of many employees between companies, the mergers and acquisitions between operators, and the fundamentals of a traditional industry, (functionally, not mechanically) it is reasonable to presume a desirable outcome for clients of those working with service providers who proactively manage these influences.

The PJC has a primary focus on jet charter services, but feels it is necessary to understand all of the underlying events that may impact the market as a whole. We are currently educating our clients on the shifts in the market in order to better align ourselves and our approach. This collaborative effort helps the booking process be more focused and streamlined, which leads to securing the top aircraft and not waiting to be impacted by the gravity of the market. We appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and see if our process would be a good fit.
